RESUMEN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Objetivos:<\/strong> El objetivo de este estudio es establecer la prevalencia de los des\u00f3rdenes musculoesquel\u00e9ticos e identificar el absentismo por estos en un grupo de docentes de un colegio privado de la ciudad de Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n

Material y M\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Estudio trasversal, con una poblaci\u00f3n de 100 profesores, aplicando una encuesta dirigida a la recolecci\u00f3n de datos sociodemogr\u00e1ficos, antropom\u00e9tricos y laborales, junto al cuestionario n\u00f3rdico para la detecci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de s\u00edntomas musculoesquel\u00e9ticos y una base de datos como fuente secundaria para recolectar informaci\u00f3n de absentismo.<\/p>\n

Resultados:<\/strong> Se observa mayor prevalencia de sintomatolog\u00eda en columna lumbar en la poblaci\u00f3n femenina. Los factores de riesgo que presenta mayor asociaci\u00f3n fueron las posturas forzadas y movimientos repetitivos. Hay bajo n\u00famero de incapacidades asociadas a patolog\u00edas musculoesquel\u00e9ticas, sumando 13 d\u00edas en total.<\/p>\n

Conclusi\u00f3n:<\/strong> A pesar del reporte de sintomatolog\u00eda asociada, la relaci\u00f3n entre su aparici\u00f3n y factores de riesgo, no se evidencia impacto en el absentismo.<\/p>\n

Title: <\/strong>MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS AND WORK ABSENTEEISM IN TEACHERS OF A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF <\/strong>MEDELL\u00cdN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong> The aim of this study is to establish the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and identify absenteeism related to these conditions in a group of teachers from a private school in the city of Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n

Material and Methods:<\/strong> Cross-sectional study with a population of approximately 100 teachers, using a survey designed to collect sociodemographic, anthropometric, and occupational data, along with the Nordic questionnaire for the detection and analysis of musculoskeletal symptoms and a database as a secondary source to gather information on absenteeism.<\/p>\n

Results:<\/strong> A higher prevalence of symptoms in the lower back was observed among the female population. The most strongly associated risk factors were forced postures and repetitive movements. There was a low number of absences related to musculoskeletal disorders, totaling 13 days.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> Despite the reported symptoms and their association with risk factors, no significant impact on absenteeism was evident.<\/p>\n
