PDF del Art\u00edculo<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\nRESUMEN.<\/strong><\/p>\nIntroducci\u00f3n:<\/strong> En Argentina es bajo el reconocimiento de la enfermedad discal lumbar (HDLS). La nomenclatura del Grupo de Trabajo Combinado (GTC) normatizar\u00eda su definici\u00f3n facilitando su registro. Se desconoce si se utiliza. Este trabajo eval\u00faa su uso entre profesionales en diagn\u00f3stico por im\u00e1genes y si modifica la opini\u00f3n de los profesionales en la atenci\u00f3n de la columna.<\/p>\nMaterial y M\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Se realiz\u00f3 una encuesta a profesionales en Diagn\u00f3stico por Im\u00e1genes, Neurocirug\u00eda, Ortopedia y Traumatolog\u00eda. Se consult\u00f3 sobre la nomenclatura del GTC, lumbalgia y exposici\u00f3n laboral.<\/p>\nResultados:<\/strong> El 54% (\u00b12) utiliza la nomenclatura del GTC para HDLS. La morfolog\u00eda discal no modificar\u00eda la opini\u00f3n sobre la etiopatogenia del dolor en el 62.9% de los encuestados.<\/p>\nConclusiones:<\/strong> El uso de la nomenclatura del GTC es de uso bajo a moderado. La mayor\u00eda de los profesionales no modifica su opini\u00f3n sobre la etiopatogenia de la lumbalgia por la morfolog\u00eda discal informada.<\/p>\nTitle: <\/strong>UNDERREPORTING OF LUMBAR DISC DISEASE. NEED FOR A PARADIGM SHIFT.<\/strong><\/p>\nAbstract:<\/strong><\/p>\nIntroduction:<\/strong> In Argentina, lumbar disc disease (LDD) is underrecognized. The Combined Working Group (CWG) nomenclature would standardize its definition, facilitating its registration. It is unknown whether it is currently in use. This study evaluates its use among diagnostic imaging professionals and whether it changes their opinions regarding spinal care.<\/p>\nMaterials and Methods:<\/strong> A survey was conducted among physicians dedicated to diagnostic imaging and those dedicated to neurosurgery, orthopedics, and traumatology. They were asked about the GTC nomenclature, low back pain, and occupational exposure.<\/p>\nResults:<\/strong> Fifty-four percent (\u00b12) uses the CWG nomenclature for LDD; the discal morphologic would not change the opinion on the etiopathogenesis of pain in 62.9% of those surveyed.<\/p>\nConclusions:<\/strong> The use of the GTC nomenclature for the definition of LDD is low to moderate.
