Se incluyeron 104 m\u00e9dicos en servicio social obligatorio en Nari\u00f1o, Colombia. Se aplic\u00f3 la escala de Zung y una encuesta sobre variables relevantes. Se calcul\u00f3 la prevalencia y asociaciones ajustadas mediante regresi\u00f3n de Poisson con varianza robusta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Resultados:<\/strong> La prevalencia de s\u00edntomas depresivos fue del 18,3%. Las variables asociadas fueron: obesidad (RP: 4,66), menos de siete meses de servicio (RP: 2,77), ansiedad (RP: 2,45), p\u00e9rdida de familiares\/amigos por COVID-19 (RP: 2,44) y menor edad (RP: 1,72).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusiones:<\/strong> Es importante brindar a los m\u00e9dicos j\u00f3venes con factores de riesgo, mayor acompa\u00f1amiento y estrategias de autocuidado, para prevenir el progreso de depresi\u00f3n y sus consecuencias en su desempe\u00f1o laboral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Title: <\/strong><strong>PREVALENCE OF DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS IN PHYSICIANS OF OBLIGATORY <\/strong><strong>SOCIAL SERVICE IN SOUTHWESTERN COLOMBIA: A CROSS-<\/strong><strong>SECTIONAL STUDY <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Objective:<\/strong> To determine the prevalence of depressive symptoms and their association with sociodemographic, contextual, and comorbidity factors in physicians during their first work experience in southwestern Colombia during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Materials and Methods:<\/strong> A cross-sectional study with a primary source. 104 physicians performing mandatory social service in Nari\u00f1o, Colombia, were included. The Zung scale and a survey of relevant variables were applied. The prevalence and adjusted associations were calculated using Poisson regression with robust variance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong> The prevalence of depressive symptoms was 18.3%.
