RESUMEN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Objetivo:<\/strong> Caracterizar y calcular el costo de la accidentalidad laboral en una empresa del sector el\u00e9ctrico en Medell\u00edn en el a\u00f1o 2023.<\/p>\n

Material y m\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Estudio cuantitativo correlacional, que analiz\u00f3 un archivo con el reporte de los accidentes por causas del trabajo en el periodo de 2023, de empresa del sector el\u00e9ctrico, donde se reconocen caracter\u00edsticas del accidentado como edad, genero, escolaridad, \u00e1rea de trabajo, h\u00e1bito, principales diagn\u00f3sticos y costo para la empresa, esto con la ayuda del software SPSS.<\/p>\n

Resultados:<\/strong> Se reconocieron asociaciones entre la accidentalidad y variables como la antig\u00fcedad, la escolaridad, y el \u00e1rea de trabajo que presentan mayor probabilidad de accidentes laborales y se construy\u00f3 una ecuaci\u00f3n que representa los costos de la accidentalidad laboral.<\/p>\n

Conclusiones:<\/strong> El inadecuado proceso de formaci\u00f3n, la falta de gesti\u00f3n de los indicadores y las estad\u00edsticas de accidentalidad y de los costos, hacen cuestiona la gesti\u00f3n de la mejora continua del SGSST.<\/p>\n

CHARACTERIZATION AND COST OF WORKPLACE <\/strong>ACCIDENTS IN A COMPANY IN THE ELECTRICAL SECTOR, <\/strong>MEDELL\u00cdN, COLOMBIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Objective:<\/strong> To characterize and calculate the cost of work-related accidents in a company in the electrical sector in Medell\u00edn in 2023.<\/p>\n

Material and methods:<\/strong> A quantitative correlational study, which analyzed a file with the report of work-related accidents in the period of 2023, from a company in the electrical sector, where characteristics of the injured person such as age, gender, education, work area, habit, main diagnoses and cost for the company are recognized, with the help of the SPSS software.<\/p>\n

Results:<\/strong> Associations were recognized between accidents and variables such as seniority, education, and the work area that present a higher probability of work-related accidents and an equation was built that represents the costs of work-related accidents.<\/p>\n

Conclusions:<\/strong> The inadequate training process, the lack of management of indicators and statistics on accidents and costs, call into question the management of the continuous improvement of the SGSST.<\/p>\n
