RESUMEN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Introducci\u00f3n:<\/strong> las enfermedades mentales entre los docentes es un problema con prevalencia para la salud de estos profesionales.<\/p>\n

Objetivo:<\/strong> identificar relaciones entre casos de enfermedad mental y el retiro por invalidez o discapacidad en docente de colegios p\u00fablicos de Bogot\u00e1-Colombia.<\/p>\n

Material y M\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Estudio anal\u00edtico de 72 casos de profesores con reporte de diagn\u00f3sticos m\u00e9dicos y dictamen de p\u00e9rdida de capacidad laboral y retiro. Se aplicaron las pruebas Chi Cuadrado y Fisher con un intervalo de confianza mayor a 95%.<\/p>\n

Resultados:<\/strong> No se evidenci\u00f3 relaciones estad\u00edsticas significativas entre el diagn\u00f3stico de enfermedad mental, p\u00e9rdida de capacidad laboral y el retiro por invalidez. El sexo no fue factor de confusi\u00f3n (P>0,05). Hay escasos antecedentes qu\u00e9 vinculan estas variables con trastornos mentales, siendo el sexo el factor de confusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Conclusiones:<\/strong> teniendo presente que no se cont\u00f3 con una relaci\u00f3n significativa entre las variables estudiadas, se hace importante realizar m\u00e1s estudios al respecto.<\/p>\n

Title: <\/strong>MENTAL ILLNESSES AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH LOSS OF WORKING CAPACITY IN TEACHERS IN PUBLIC <\/strong>INSTITUTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Introduction:<\/strong> mental illness among teachers is a prevalent problem for the health of these professionals.<\/p>\n

Objective:<\/strong> to identify relationships between cases of mental illness and retirement due to disability or disability among teachers in public schools in Bogota-Colombia.<\/p>\n

Material and Method:<\/strong> Analytical study of 72 cases of teachers with reported medical diagnoses and report of loss of working capacity and retirement. Chi-square and Fisher tests were applied with a confidence interval greater than 95%.<\/p>\n

Results:<\/strong> No significant statistical relationships were found between the diagnosis of mental illness, loss of working capacity and retirement due to disability. Sex was not a confounding factor (P>0.05). There are few antecedents linking these variables with mental disorders, with sex being the confounding factor.<\/p>\n

Conclusions:<\/strong> bearing in mind that there was no significant relationship between the variables studied, it is important to carry out further studies in this regard.<\/p>\n
