Instrumentos: Maslasch Burnout Inventory MBI y Cuestionario General de Salud de Goldberg GHQ-12. La muestra incluy\u00f3 130 funcionarios. An\u00e1lisis con SPSS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Resultados:<\/strong> la media de edad fue 38,2 a\u00f1os, predominando hombres. Prevalencia del s\u00edndrome de agotamiento laboral: 54%; malestar psicol\u00f3gico: 62,7%. Despersonalizaci\u00f3n predominante en guardias y cansancio emocional en administrativos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusi\u00f3n:<\/strong> el malestar psicol\u00f3gico est\u00e1 relacionado con el s\u00edndrome de agotamiento laboral, con mayor prevalencia en hombres y mayor malestar psicol\u00f3gico en mujeres, similar a otros estudios.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Title: <\/strong><strong>DEPRESSION AND BURNOUT, WORKING IN PRISON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Introduction:<\/strong> stressful events in prison generate high probabilities of burnout syndrome in prison staff, affecting their performance and other areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Objective:<\/strong> To establish the relationship between burnout syndrome and mental health in staff at the Medium Security Penitentiary and Prison of Manizales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Material and methods:<\/strong> quantitative, non-experimental, crosssectional, and correlational study. Instruments: Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12). The sample included 130 staff members. Analysis with SPSS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong> the average age was 38.2 years, with a predominance of men. Burnout syndrome prevalence: 54%; psychological distress: 62.7%.
