D\u00e9cadas de falta de datos y consensos pes\u00f3 sobre\u00a0 el S\u00edndrome de la Salida Tor\u00e1cica, en lo m\u00e9dico-cient\u00edfico, provocando subregistro y subdiagn\u00f3stico que repercute en su prevenci\u00f3n y detecci\u00f3n precoz.<\/p>\nMaterial y M\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Se realiz\u00f3 una b\u00fasqueda en PubMed con el t\u00e9rmino MeSH: \u201cThoracic Outlet Syndromes\u201d de 2018 a 2023 y, en LiLacs y Revista AAOT, con el t\u00e9rmino \u201cS\u00edndrome de la salida tor\u00e1cica\u201d, sin l\u00edmite de fecha. Se buscaron, tambi\u00e9n, los art\u00edculos m\u00e1s citados; analizamos sobre conceptos en libros cl\u00e1sicos de anatom\u00eda y espec\u00edficos.<\/p>\nResultados:<\/strong> Se elabor\u00f3 un informe actualizado y Algoritmos diagn\u00f3sticos basados en los consensos encontrados.<\/p>\nConclusiones:<\/strong> No hay registros sobre la incidencia o prevalencia del TOS. Sugerimos un algoritmo diagn\u00f3stico estandarizado, abandonar la nomenclatura en el CIE-10 \u201cM531\u201d y reemplazarla por \u201cG540\u201d, o el CIE 11: \u201c8B90\u201d (subtipo 8B91.1 o 8B91.Y\/Z), y actualizar el Decreto 658\/96 y gu\u00edas. The main articles that were cited in these publications were searched; they were compared with the concepts present in the books.<\/p>\nResults:<\/strong> An updated report was prepared on the relevant items of the pathology. A recommended diagnostic algorithm was developed, based on the consensus found.<\/p>\nConclusions:<\/strong> There is no national or international records on the incidence or prevalence. Standardizing its nomenclature and in the list of occupational diseases could favor adequate registration.
