RESUMEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Introducci\u00f3n:<\/strong> El n\u00famero de jornadas perdidas por accidente de trabajo (AT) y sus costes es elevado y va en aumento. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el cumplimiento del tiempo \u00f3ptimo (TO) de estas bajas.<\/p>\n

Material y M\u00e9todos:<\/strong> Estudio descriptivo y transversal de 253 procesos de incapacidad temporal (IT) por AT de un hospital de tercer nivel, comparando el cumplimiento de los TO con variables como edad, diagn\u00f3stico o modalidad de lesi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Resultados:<\/strong> 149 trabajadores superaron el TO de baja. La edad elevada, la patolog\u00eda muscular y las colisiones requirieron tiempo de baja superior al establecido, requiriendo los esguinces tiempo inferior.<\/p>\n

Conclusi\u00f3n:<\/strong> El 60% de IT por AT superaron el TO debido a la demora en procesos diagnostico-terap\u00e9uticos y a edad elevada,\u00a0conllevando un aumento en costes, pudiendo disminuir la productividad y perjudicando la salud del profesional. Ser\u00eda \u00fatil estudiar mejoras en la seguridad, esfera psicosocial y formaci\u00f3n en prevenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

ARE THE OPTIMAL TIMES FOR SICK LEAVE DUE TO OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENTS MET?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Introduction:<\/strong> The number of working days lost due to occupational accidents (OAs) and their costs is high and increasing. This study aims to analyze compliance with the optimum time (OT) of these sick leaves.<\/p>\n

Methods:<\/strong> Descriptive and cross-sectional study of 253 temporary disability (TD) processes due to OAs in a tertiary level hospital, comparing compliance with the OT with variables such as age, diagnosis or type of injury.<\/p>\n

Results:<\/strong> 149 workers exceded the OT of sick leave. High age, muscular pathology and collisions required more time off work tan established, while sprains required less time off work.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> 60% of TD due to OAs exceded the OT due to delays in diagnostic and therapeutic processes and high age, leading to an increase in costs, decreasing productivity and harming the health of the professional. It would be useful to study improvements in safety, psychosocial sphere and training in prevention.<\/p>\n
