Los des\u00f3rdenes m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9ticos son una de las principales causas de absentismo, dolor e incapacidad en el mundo del trabajo. Los trabajadores agr\u00edcolas est\u00e1n predispuestos a sufrirlas debido a la naturaleza de su trabajo.<\/p>\n

Objetivo<\/strong>: describir la magnitud y costos de la incapacidad laboral, debido a des\u00f3rdenes musculo esquel\u00e9ticos en trabajadores de una empresa floricultora de Colombia.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9todos<\/strong>: se realiz\u00f3 un estudio descriptivo, evaluando 3570 ausencias por causa m\u00e9dica entre enero y diciembre de 2016. Los episodios se agruparon de acuerdo con la Clasificaci\u00f3n Internacional de Enfermedades, y se calcularon los \u00edndices de absentismo. El costo total del absentismo por DME se calcul\u00f3 seg\u00fan el valor de la hora de trabajo y los d\u00edas de ausencia de cada trabajador.<\/p>\n

Resultados<\/strong>: se presentaron 124 incapacidades por des\u00f3rdenes musculoesquel\u00e9ticos, el 70,16% en mujeres. El \u00e1rea de trabajo con mayores incapacidades es post cosecha con un 45,16%. El costo total de la incapacidad debido a des\u00f3rdenes musculoesquel\u00e9ticos, se estim\u00f3 en $ 111.957.923 pesos colombianos (38600 d\u00f3lares estadounidenses), para el periodo de estudio.<\/p>\n

Conclusi\u00f3n<\/strong>: los altos costos en esta compa\u00f1\u00eda son generados por alteraciones en las condiciones de salud de la poblaci\u00f3n trabajadora, claramente dadas por des\u00f3rdenes musculoesquel\u00e9ticos, que deben ser abordados de manera inmediata por parte del personal encargado dentro de la empresa implementando estrategias de promoci\u00f3n y prevenci\u00f3n en el puesto de trabajo, con el fin de reducir estos des\u00f3rdenes.<\/p>\n

Title:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>SICK LEAVE DUE TO MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS IN THE WORKING POPULATION IN A FLOWER GROWING COMPANY IN COLOMBIA.<\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the main causes of absenteeism, pain and disability in the world of work. Agricultural workers are predisposed to suffer from them because of the nature of their work.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/strong>: to describe the magnitude and costs of sick leave due to musculoskeletal disorders in workers of a Colombian flower company.<\/p>\n

Methods<\/strong>: a descriptive study was conducted, evaluating 3570 absences for medical reasons between January and December 2016. The episodes were grouped according to the International Classification of Diseases, and absenteeism rates were calculated. The total cost of absenteeism by DME was calculated according to the value of the working hour and days of absence of each worker.<\/p>\n

Results<\/strong>: there were 124 absences due to musculoskeletal disorders, 70.16% in females. The area with the highest absences is post-harvest with 45.16%. The total cost of absenteeism due to musculoskeletal disorders was estimated at $ 111,957,923 Colombian pesos (USD$ 38,600) for the study period.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong>: the high costs in this company are generated by alterations in the health conditions of the workers, clearly given by musculoskeletal disorders that must be approached immediately by the personnel in charge of the company implementing strategies of promotion and prevention in the workplace, in order to reduce these disorders.<\/p>\n
